I love my car
Not only do i love mine, but i think im obsessed with it.. kind of sad.. sitting in traffic i will find myself dusting the dash. I also have a bad habit of washing it everyother day dirty or not
Hi, I'm new to the site so I'm not real sure how to use it. Never been in a forum before. I need some help from anyone out there that might have had a similar experience. A week ago my husband totaled my 2001 TT Quattro that I got for my birthday. He was driving a bit too fast and deer jumped out in front of him. Crashed it into a tree. The problem is that he said when he slammed the brakes on ( so as not to hit the deer) the car just kept going. I had just made an appointment to have the car checked four days before the accident because the abs and traction control lite on the dash kept coming on. He didn't know about the problem with the lites because I hadn't told him. The car has been in the garage because of bad weather and I had no reason to think he would take it out. He hardly ever drives the car because he hates my vanity plates. The day he took it out it was a nice evening. Any way , now he thinks there was something wrong with the brakes and that the car shouldn't have reacted the way it did. Also the air bags didn't deploy when he hit the tree. I don't know if he has a valid argument or not. I just want a new car but I can see the writing on the wall. I sure did Love that car.
I'm not sure what the "valid argument" is for.
Are you trying to blame Audi for the accident?
Is he trying to blame you for nearly killing him?
There may have been something wrong with the brakes. That is what the dash warning lights are for. You ignore them at your own risk.
Hopefully, you had collision insurance. In NJ, I think that there is no deductable for collisions with deer.
