Default I need a gt3076r, anyone have any impressions of this turbo?

Hey guys, currently I have a gt28r setup on the car but I am looking for a gt3076r.....almost a direct boltup...hehe... and I'm just curious if anyone has ever had one on their car or if they have heard anything of it.
Thanks.
Joshua

Yup pretty laggy, gt3071 is a better choice, thats what I will be going with shortly. Better make sure you have the fueling, and programming for it otherwise...boom

Hey Tom, the 3071 doesn't bolt up to the stock manifold with an adapter plate though does it?

nope neither will a gt3076, the 3076 and 3071 have the same bolt up flanges, although the 3071 is available with a 3" and a 4" inlet, while I think the 3076 is only a 4" inlet although I may be wrong about that. I know they are available with the t25 inlet 5bolt outlet, but they mau also be available with a t3 inlet 4 bolt outlet

Well with the gt28r on the car right now, there is an adapter plate between it and the manifold. Other than making a new intake and intercooler piping, the turbo should bolt right up to my setup, granted it doesn't hit the unibody/frame of the car. Just curious, do you think with:
intake, exhaust, software, afr, injectors, walbro fp, fmic, and the 3076r
that 330whp is realistic?

ig you have the proper injectors and sw thats more than possible, but you dont need a turbo that big and laggy to hit 330whp, I'll be going with a gt3071r and I will be shooting for 400awhp. Both these turbo really push the motor to its limits so your tune and fueling better be pretty damn good other the motor is in trouble

So what turbo would you recommend to get to 330whp, w/ the mods already metioned and proper tuning?

This is the turbo I originally wanted to run:
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Garre...98784244QQrdZ1

Would it be just be very laggy on my car....I really don't mind lag.
But I want something that maybe in the future when I rebuild this engine that I could shoot for closer to 450 to the wheels.
Thanks for all of your input.
Josh
