Here's my problem. I puchased a 2001 A4 1.8T Quattro for my daughter about a month ago. It had some (what appeared to be) minor front end damage, so I took it to a body shop and had the car painted. She picked it up and ran into the back of someone on her way to school the next day. The accident got the front bumper, radiator support, left headlight and hood.

She drove it back to the body shop. When the parts came in, the radiator support looked completely different than the one on the car. The body shop sent it back and waited for a replacement. A week later, the replacement came in .... and it was the exact same style radiator support. I was like ... WTF?

After doing some checking around the internet, it appears that the first generation A41.8T radiator support is different than the first generation A4 2.8 radiator support.

My question is this, did some late 2001 A4 1.8T's come with A4 2.8 radiator supports.
