the car is 2001 A4 1.8t Quattro w/ auto (i know dont flame me) I just put some 18x8's on it.

First off, i keep getting a P0170 error code i belive ... its the MAF .. i unplugged it and it ran better so does that mean the MAF is bad? is it bad to leave it unplugged till i get a new one?

Second, when im driving the car goes into 5th gear it feel like i slammed on my brakes and then let off. But ill be accelerating? any ideas?

Third, Can what can i, or if i can change my transmission fluid with?

Last, how much do stock audi 2001 a4 1.8t wheels go for? im thinking about selling my stock ones, they have some curbage due to the previous owner.

I dont have a factory manual so i cant look at things.

if you unpugged it and it ran better its your MAF

 

is it alright to run without it for a couple days untill i order a new one?

 

yea you dont even really need the thing.. but i would replace it.. i ran with mine unplugged for a while..
