I need two quick answers/opinions
Hey Guys, I just wanted to run this stuff by you guys and get your opinions , because you have not mis-lead me yet!
A) With just the mods I have now ( see sig ) do you think a Samco turbo inlet hose would make a noticable difference / is it better for my car - I.E. is a used one worth $50 plus is it a super hard install?-
B) You guys have all seen the monster gap on a stock non sport a4, do you think some neuspeed springs would give it a clean looking drop? - They claim they will drop about 1.5 inches - Do you think that is enough?
Thanks for the feedback / advice in advance !

A) cant give you an exact scientific answer but i know some of these guys can .. i dont have any experience with the hose.. but basic mechanics would tell me that getting more air to your turbo can only be a positive thing.. and ive seen lots of people running those hoses..
B) the neuspeed race springs will give you about a 2" drop.. from what ive seen it looks real good.. im not sure if the the sport springs will give you the agressive look you are looking for.. but if you live in a place with shitty roads and cant be super low.. i guess the sports would be the wise choice..
i have the same car as you 99.5 A4 and i will be going with the neuspeed race springs..

If you replace the springs, you might as well do the shocks at the same time. Your stock shocks won't last that long given the new agressive springs - Blistens seem to be popular and thats the route im going.
A) Couldn't tell ya
B) I had the Neuspeed sport springs on my A4 and I loved it. It reduced that "huge gap" and gave it a much more "aggressive" stance. I would recommend doing shocks as well (I didn't not, wish I had).
Hope this helps

the inlet hose into the turbo is a must when you chip. i have seen video where the stock inlet pipe was sucked closed because it is so flimsy under heavy boost. i have a samco inlet hose installed. it makes a difference in air flow that is for sure and the install is easy. took me about 45 min when all is said and done. remove the airbox and get to work it is just a couple hose clamps and some fooling around with finding the room for your hands. easy install and well worth it.
as for springs/shocks ya do both @ the same time because you would pay for labor twice if you did them separately and that just gets expensive. i have had no problems with h&r springs and i love my bilstein sport shocks. good combo. i have, however, not heard anything bad about the neuspeed shocks. buy what u feel is best in your opinion. my two cents.... h&r springs/bilstein sport shocks. good combo.

really ? i had my chip installed about 2 weeks ago.. never new the possibility of sucking closed the flimsy hose.. any noticeable gains from the air flow?
i got a samco turbo inlet hose from ecs tunning it was pretty east to install i think it took 30 mins i noticed that the turbo spooled faster and i can hold boost a little longer i replaced my because my stock one had a hole in it it solved my hole issue and did alittle performance [sm=badbadbad.gif]
