Default I-pod integration with stock Bose system…

I know this is probably covered a lot, and I more or less have my answers I just need some clarification. First off I don’t want to spend a ton because I plan to replace the whole stereo in the Audi eventually, with a DVD/NAVI unit, new speakers and a sub. But for right now I have better places to spend my money as I can live with the ok sound quality of the stock bose system. What I cant live with though is not having my MP3 player hooked into it! From what I understand my best bet would be to get a Dension Ice Link, this makes it easy to hook into the stock HU with a harness I guess. But they no longer make it? Is there a product that does the same thing out there? I would like to stay under $100, I know I need radio removal keys which is $20 right there.

Also what the hell is a Blitzsafe adaptor? Is that an option? I am guessing it may be a harness that goes between the headunit and offers a set of left/right RCA inputs, which I could then use to connect a standard RCA to 3.5 cable which I already own.
