I really need help: audi 1.8 T3T4 kit severe turbo lag
I have a 1.8t withturbo xst3 t4 kit on it I just ordered a flashed ECU from Upsolute and I also got 440cc injectors comming soon but as of right now I have a TAP ECU and I was making 18 pounds of boost on the stock Ko3 and now I make about 1 to 2 pounds of boost till 4000 rpm's and then I still only make 5 or 6 pounds. Isaw someone on audizine making 322 whp and 20 pounds of boost withoutinternal engine work? Why does mine lag so much and why am I not able to make any boost? Could it be because of the injectors and the ECU or what is the problem? The car is much slower now and I def need some help. I've seen a couple ofsuccessfull T3T4 kits on 1.8's regaurdless of how much people on these forums hate them. If you dont like the kit just dont post anything, but if you have any good information please post away.
Your problem is your tuning and ecu. You are trying to use chipped k03 software on a t3/t4. That is not smart. You are very lucky your car is not letting itself run lean and blow your motor apart. You need to drive very conservatively until you get your upgraded software, and btw, you really should have looked into chris tapp's 630cc injector setup since you already had his tuning, you probably could have saved a lot of money. Once you get your 440cc's you will still be limited to about 16 -18psi, bc the injectors will be maxed out. And, I have not heard good things about the xs power ebay turbos. Hopefully it wont blow apart and send part of the blades through your fmic and into you engine. Good luck.
that was a pretty flaming comment considering a lot of To4e's are made by the same company and then distributed and to various companies which put their housing or brand on the turbo for redistrobution.
but I dont hate... but you will when my injectors and ECU get here and I throw up 300whp on the dyno
and I didnt end up with the 440cc I got the RC 550cc's
