Idle speed

I have a 98 A4 1.8T with 121k, mostly highway miles, and my car idles at 1400rpm. I am just wondering if this is normal for this car or what suggestions you have that could lower my idle speed. The engine is stock.

1400rpm is too high and its controlled by the computer so things to check are the inside of the throttle body for gunk build up ( clean it out ) next is the cable ( is it too tight not releasing all the way )
