The reason I did this is that I found out that they have ended emissions testing in my county. Otherwise you could make a heat shield to cover it up so they can't see it. Aslong as your car is running well, you will pass a sniff test ( I have done this with other vehicles) I don't know about california though.As long as they can't see that there isn't a cat in there you will pass.

Yup, today I found a local shop in Miami that is an official APR installer and they do chips in-house with-in 1 hour and they told me the same thing. TEST PIPE! But they gave me a price of like 1600.00 without labor. The ARP chip for 499.00 plus 100 labor.
I'm going for the test pipe, They guy had it on his ride so he started up the car and it sounded great!

i think you meant 160 shipped, lol... not 1600... or else thats the highest gross test pipe ever, lol.

oo i didnt concider that ya. i just need to make sure i go to a place that doesnt do awd. because im pretty sure there are some. well before all that id need to talk my dad into that and i dont think he'd be cool with it. he is kinda butthurt over most.
