yeah you got a pretty good deal. if you want a manual than put that baby up for sale. you could get 9-10k for it depending on where you live (and how much patience you have)

 

how does this sound.... a local performance shops advertising a

BMC 102/01 Drop in Panel Filter (wtf is a panel filter? sorry i'm not new but don't know what that is... this is my third audi)

doesn't say anything about injectors or new dv... or FMIC unless thats what they mean by panel filter...

Our cars have a panel style air filter inside the huge black box by your turbo. I don't know if the AWE kit comes with injectors or not. I would look into that. If it doesn't I have 4 for sale on ebay right now. PM me for info. Also it does not come w/ a FMIC. I am not running one right now either but I am thinking of running a water/meth kit instead. You will also need a new DV. I am running the Forge 007 DV and have not had any problems.

Also, you could get a setup like that and install it yourself a LOT cheaper then that. I would still have the exhaust installed but the rest you could do if you know your way around your car good.

way too much for that setup. you could get a k04 plus software for around 1300, custom exhaust with borla/magnaflow/whatever muffler you like for another 400, and your intake is already good enough (you could do the DIY intake mod for free and get some more air flowing in there). you will not need new injectors or a FMIC with that setup, but you will need a new DV. an fmic would help but is not necessary and unless you go with a different program there's no point in getting bigger injectors.

so basically its an overpriced but solid setup. if you got the money to blow, go for it, but also make sure they put in a new dv

 

i'm thinking of just buying a k04 kit, FMIC, dv, both chips (tip trans :-( ), exhaust, and then spend the rest of my money on appearance... this is of course if i can't sell the car before the winter

 

good idea. you might also wana look into meth/water injection after you do all those mods

 

sell the car and buy a TQM, then spend 8G's on the car in mods and have a fast *** car

 

So much talk of ko4's! If you had my experience you would just skip that. I got really jealous when i saw the write up for an Apr stage 3 install. Thats a gt28r, sitting next to a ko3 which is exactly the same size of the ko4 except without the quality internals. http://www.a4mods.com/index.php?page...ages/apr3.html
Point is i think people should just skip the ko4, but it is the most readily available thing on the market and i guess its safer.
Although i really wish people had my experience.
