I'm being spoiled this week!
Damn, I'm getting spoiled this week!
1st i get my A4 chipped, I'm pretty happy about this, obviously. Finally I can make use of the CAI and custom exhaust.
Then, this morning I stopped by AWE and got my Vag-Com. Something I've been meaning to get for months now and just never got around to it.
Then, we took a ride up to lancaster tonight and we picked up a R32 with 7k miles on it for my wife....
Tomorrow, taking the R32 for chipping at AWE or AP Tuning, havent decided yet.
I'm just wondering what is going to happen next since none of the above were planned on monday heh
thats really to bad that your wifes car is going to be able to kick your cars ***.. you may have to steal it from her some times. Sweet collection of rides though man lovin the b6 and the R32 post some pics when you can
haha her old 20th AE GTI could kick my A4's butt, so I'm used to it
... At least with the APR programming my car is able to at least put up a little bit of a fight lolWe trade out cars pretty often since we just take what ever car was the last one in the drive way. She's also not opposed to adding a SC to the r32. It has to wait for a while (new windows, carpet and wood floors going into the house) but once thats done it lays the ground work for stage III b6 *grins*
haha yeah, I'm pretty much in heaven. She use to be a code monkey too, so I couldnt ask for a more perfect woman.
Yep, the dealership was on manheim, "Imports of Lancaster County"
We actually looked at the car last night with every intention of driving it home until the sales guy was a *****. He wouldnt budge on either the price of the car or the trade in and was very abrupt about it. He got confused when we said "ok" and got up and walked out.
We called him this morning and he didnt hesitate in giving us the whopping $500 additional trade-in cash we wanted
I would not really recommend these guys either. Here is a basic gist of the conversation
Oh not to mention we were already pissed by him treating us like we were retarded.
Dealer: "yeah, the cars completely stock"
We pop the hood and there is a neuspeed CAI sitting there
Dealer: "oh, its completely stock excpet for that"
ah huh, his opinion is kinda shot by that point.
Me: 'the idle is really rough, almost sounds like its misfiring a little. Thats not normal, if we get it checked out and its something faulty will we be able to return the car or have you fix it'
Dealer: "no, it's under warranty VW will take care of it"
Me: 'not if other engine mods were done and are the reason this is happening"
Dealer: "the cars stock"
Me: "Points to intake, thats not stock"
Dealer: "everything expcept that"
Me: "oh, yeah right, you did tell me that ah huh"
Me: "hey, the check engine light is on, whats the deal with that"
Dealer: "Thats probably because we only drive in a little bit, just to move it in and out of the show room. It's under warranty anyway VW will fix what ever is wrong with it"
Me: "RIIIIIGHT, ok, so can we take the car to the VW dealership down the road and get them to scan it?"
Dealer: "no, I'LL take it in the morning"
Anyway, if the car didnt have such low mileage and was cheaper than any of the others on the market that we seen advertised we'd have probably left it on their lot for someone else. As it stands the check engine light was off tonight and it was misfiring, he didnt tell us what VW actually did to resolve the issue but I vagged it after a 10 min test drive and no engine codes come up and idle seems great so we signed off on it and brought her home
