Default I'm Carriterate
Sorry, this is a really stupid, silly, derranged and idiotic question but how do I open the petrol cap on my A4 TDI ??

Just bought it without a users manual and can't see the button.

On a gas car , it is open when the car is unlocked.

Tried that, it doesnt work. The car is unlocked but the 'door' for the cap won't open..????

Not good my friend. get a flathead screwdriver and put electrical tape around the tip and pry open your petrol cap

Well you gotta get fuel right? use this only as a last resort.. can you call an audi dealer, or another european car shop? they should be able to help you with your problem

do you mean the cap or the door? if you mean the door you suposed to push on the front side and the back side should open up push hard if you have too

Yeah, just push the front side with the doors unlocked and it should open. Give it a few closed fisted bangs before you start prying on it.

It was a bit stiff but it did the trick. WD40 will sort it out.
