Well, i guess should i have explained why i said that. I like low end power, because most racing is done threw 1st and 2nd,(atleast for me, its where quattro rules) And the smaller the exhaust diameter, the more low end grunt u will have, the 2.75 might have a lil more up top, but the 2.5 will have more of a low end grunt, where the ko4 loves it, my 1st and 2nd gear are amazing with all the torque.

I'm interested in ATPs Virtual Exhaust System (VES).
Kinda the best of both worlds. You get your chosen ~2.5" exhaust til the turbo kicks in and opens the valve for post-cat free flowing exhaust. I just wonder if its obnoxiously loud or "loud" in a cool way. The videos on their site don't seem too loud but hard to tell.

A link to the videos.

i have custom exhaust (mandrel bent) with magnaflow mufflers. i definitely feel more top end. i would go with a slightly smaller diameter. like it was mentioned before, if the piping is too big you'll lose some torque.

When useing ves, its basically having a open exhaust, depending on where u install it.

Yeah, thats what I said. But to be more accurate its more like an open exhaust on demand, ie. when the turbo is spinning. In the lower RPMs it will be closed and the exhaust will be going through the smaller restricted pipe.
