I'm in a predicament!
Ok, I want to modify my car, but I want a toy too. I've been looking at cheap Geo Trackers, and Suzuki Samurai's for a bad-***-mobile rock crawler. So I've been finding those between $400-$800. I have a 30v so performance isn't on top of the to-do list. Should I just spend the money on looks (windows, wheels, and what-not)
The Geo wouldn't have a Geo motor in it, I was gonna run VW Turbo Diesel, and straight axle it...so Toyota drivetrain. I have a 73' CJ5 with the stock 304 sitting in my garage (well, it's my dads, both the jeep and the garage) but I'm looking for something even smaller to squeeze into ATV trails and whatnot also. Jeeps are sick, just not super cheap like a throw-away car like what I'm wanting to get.
i just got my toy on the road last month. it is a 86 silverado 3/4 ton 6 in lift 35" mud boggers full built sbc 350. one prob is that the engine reqires a mix of 93 and race gas.
Yes, I know...Geo...it's almost shameful to say it. That must suck for the gas. Mighty pricey. I can't even get anything above 91 octane here. And 91 is $2.75 gallon. That's why when I get my toy I wanna put the VW turbo diesel in there...run some 33-35's and still get right around 30mpg
