Default I'm really starting to hate my car.

So, I bought my 2003 A4 with some front end damage. I figured no problem. Get the parts and put it together. It needed a radiator support, radiator, ac condensor, hood, grille, fan shroud, and other little parts here and there.

I started to get the parts and went threw the whole hassle of parts being ordered wrong and all that. I got a wrong rad support, then a wrong fan shroud came. I started putting it all together this weekend, as I got to the ac condensor and went to hook up the lines, wrong part of course. So I need to send that back. Then I had to remember where all the bolts and wires went. Not too hard to figure out, but tedious. So I just left the ac condensor on and would deal with it later. I just wanted to drive my car. I hooked up everything and had it all set to go. I put in oil and checke the levels.

Next I started to add the coolant. I put in half the gallon and checked for leaks. None, cool. Started pouring the rest of the gallon in and heard coolant hitting the ground. AAARRGGGHHHHHH. It's leaking from the upper hose connection. I checked the O ring and it seems good. No cracks in either connection. But no matter what I do, it still leaks. So, I went and looked for a thicker O ring to try and remedy the problem. No bigger O ring. So I bought some teflon sealer to try that. It stopped it, but only for a few minutes.

So no I'm stuck with my coolant leaking and a car that's not driveable. Everything else is back together except for that. I'm really frustrated. Any ideas.

And to make matters worse, my power steering doesn't seem to be working now. Great. Car has taken all my money now and it's still not driveable.

Which hose is leaking? What's it connected to? What engine is it? Please post pictures and be as specific as possible.

It's the upper radiator hose, where it plugs into the radiator. I put on the hose and push the clip in like I'm supposed to, but it still leaks. It's th 1.8T.

I got a good deal on the car. $12,500 out the door with a little over $1k in parts. Plus it's 5 speed and has the sport package. Not bad for a $23k, at least that's what NADA says.

Here is the link to my car pics when it was damaged. I just need to get the coolant to stop leaking and I can drive the damn thing.

And then figure out why my power steering wouldn't be working anymore.
