Would some type of leak cause that oil sludge? Its like on the plastic part of the ( the plastic that covers the timing belt)

 

No, oil sludge happens almost in all audi A4 1.8T engines because of the limited oil filter capacity and the very small oil pick up tube screen. People use full synthetic oils to counteract this but it still gets sludge if the oil is not changed frequently. If it has sludge the factory will replace the oil pick up tube, ALL the crankcase hoses, and change the oil and filter.

try this, rev your car with the AC on and see if it does it, then do it with the AC off.
could be just the AC - don't worry
