Default Inaccurate temperature reading

Hi all, I was wondering if anyone had a problem with their temperature reading that appears on the computer between the guages. My reading is always 5 to 15 degrees over what it really is, does anyone have a solution or any idea how i would be able to fix this or is this a normal thing for audi a4's. thanks for the input.

Might need to replace the temperature sensor located on the front radiator.

no, he's talking about the outside temp gauge...mine is always too hot as well, it's because the sensor is in the center of your black dash that is in the sun all day, so it's not exactly accurate. i don't know of any way to adjust it, it's kinda worthless IMO

uh, that is the sunlight sensor, not the temp sensor on your dash. The outside temp sensor is on the radiator front.

Yea it depends on how the sun is hitting it

The sensor on the dash is used by the climate control to vary the temperature by how strong the sun is shining.

gotcha, but do you think if the reading is always off by a few degrees that it's bad or is that normal?
