My friend is talking alot of smack about his infinity g35, i think it has like 280hp. on a 2002 a4 1.8qt, Would a ko4 upgrade new exhaust be able to take one?

eeeh, id go bigger since u have a heavier b6. A fully tuned ko4 b5 would hang with him. Fastest ko4 b5 time is 13.6, not sure what the g35 runs. And with the 2.8 trans that car runs like 13.4s, out of ko4-015.

 

man G35 run low 15's my friend has one and just ran it at the track and his best time was 15.1

but that is also limited by his driving skill. Unless hes a pro that doesn't mean thats the fastest 1/4 mi one can get.

 

Betz, I'm in exactly the same boat. My brother just got a G35 and it is quick. But hell, for what he paid for it, it should be quick. He keeps telling me it, "Oh, this thing is fast!" I just want to tell him to shut up...so I do. We went out to dinner last Friday and he drove...the G35's power is deceptive but it's definitely there. The G35 is also naturally aspirated so the power is there right from the start....you're going to have to practice if want to beat your friend off the line. If you want to match the power of the G35 you're probably going to have to go with a GT28RS instead of a K04. Tom Ritt posted a list of components that he is using or has used for his GT28RS kit.

You're smoking crack. The 05 G35 posts a 13.8 quarter mile. Earlier G's with slightly less HP will run a tenth or two off that, but 15.1 secs??? Geez, was he eating lunch at the same time?
Just to give you guys an idea, the G35 also posts 245HP at the wheels. So you'll have to beef up quite a bit to keep up with the G35. Definitely a GT28RS kit.

 

The g35s are a little slower than the 350z's because of their weight, but they also should handle a little better because of the slightly longer wheelbase(8inches). Take him around some turns at a 100, then he'll shutup. I had to do that to a couple of Stangs to shut em up from their straight-line braggin rights.

I hope you're not comparing the G35 to a mustang... haha. Oh well. Anyways, you'd also be surprised at the G35's handling. Just 2 cents worth. Not much at all.
