You get what you pay for 1000's of hours of real world testing with GIAC, APR, REVO
Stick with these one's - yeah its more expensive but hey at least they don't sell there chip on ebay for $170 - I wouldn't trust it but if your willing to - do a write-up on it and maybe I'll eat my words.

Correction $175 here

no. it sux *****. you will hate it. get a real chip (giac for b5, revo for b6, and apr/revo for b7). the brains of your car is not the area to skimp in.

How do you know it sucks so bad? Just curious, I agree that its not the place to skimp on, but there is a money back guarantee. Do you have experience with it or are you just saying so?

You're not allowed to call them a low-budget tuning company because you don't know anything about them.......at least not if you want people to believe you.
The link to the post that you provided shows more of a case FOR the chip than against it, in my opinion.

When you make a statement about all stuff on eBay most likely being crap........that's a complete generalization.
Similar to me saying that all of your posts are pointless or wrong.
Surely they can't ALL be like that and neither can eBay, or Inmotion for that matter.

only you really stuck up for it in the last post. i wouldn't buy from them. cheap parts give you crap results and what i said in the last post is it is MOST likely crap, similar to other stuff from ebay for our cars. and i called them a low budget tuning company because look at their website. if the company was making a bunch of money, their website wouldn't look like crap. if you could get the same results as giac revo apr and all the other "reputable" tuner companies for $175 than everyone would be all over this chip, but they're not. the chip may very well work fine, and just not deliver the kind of power you would get from giac, but its still a risk, a risk i dont think is worth taking. an ecu is not the place to go cheap, but hey you wana see small gains and take a risk of messin something up and paying out the *** for repairs cuz you wanted to save 300 bucks, be my guest

You're still missing the point.

1. Do you know anyone that has the chip?
2. Why does that company have a 100% positive feedback from 174 buyers?
3. Just because something's not expensive......it doesn't mean that it can't be good or it doesn't offer great performance.

Eurocode test pipes are $150 and they give outstanding gains.
Performance products on other makes and models are 1/2 the price of the same types of upgrades on an Audi - does that mean every other modification that doesn't go on an Audi sucks too?

I'll bet every shirt in your closet says Polo, CK, Tommy, etc.
If expensive labels mean so much - I'll gladly sell you a bucket full of labels for $1,000 so that you can show them off to anyone who will listen.

It is IMPOSSIBLE to give a valid opinion of a product that you have ZERO firsthand knowledge about.....or even secondhand knowledge in this case.
Think about that statement long and hard and let it sink in for a few moments before you decide to muster up a response.
If you do this correctly, there will be no need to reply.

dude wtf? actually i own like 3 collared shirts and practically no name brand clothes, im fukin poor and have been able to buy all my stuff for my car by working, scholarship money, and shopping around for good deals on products that have great feedback, but thats besides the point. your in the same boat as me, you have no firsthand knowledge of the chip either, all im doing is offering my opinion, same as you. if you want to buy a chip from a company that has only sold 174 chips, has a sh!tty website, and probably no after sales support support, be my guest. I wouldn't do it. im not in any way saying that cheap parts dont work sometimes but a majority of the time you get what you pay for. you wana take the risk, go right ahead.

personally I wouldnt buy it. I would go on the classifieds and get a used ecu for $400. then you'll have your ecu as a backup. or buy the chip and let us all know if it really gives you 45 horsies. but for some reason i doubt it.

read up about efficient markets.
