problem i see is, can you take their software off and go giac, i don't think you can, and if you are unhappy and you can, then you are out 800+, which would of got you a k04

and i got an arp tunned ecu used for 350 and got to keep mine, so if i was unhappy, i just sale that one and put mine back in and get giac

i would be looking for a used stock ecu that is same code as your motor

 

the ecu gets reprogrammed when you get a different chip anyways..... it doesnt mean you have to trash the ecu

Plus, if you get a k03 chip from GIAC, you get a discount on the k04 chip if you ever upgrade to a k04 turbo. Theres no reason to not go with GIAC if you have a B5. GIAC and B5's go together like peanut butter and jelly. I still think the extra couple hundred bucks is worth it to go with GIAC for the gaurantee, updates,and proven reliability. But Im really not trying to turn this into another "Inmotion chip reputable" thread... In fact, I dont understand why another thread was created about the same similar topic. Why do people think that if a thread has 9 pages new posts arent going to be seen in it?

 

If I decide to go K04 I will get the AWE kit so here is the math

GIAC chip $400 + $1699 for the K04 + $200 for PC16 - $200 discount on chip upgrade for K04 with GIAC = $2099.00

Inmotion chip $150 + $1699 for the K04 + $200 for PC16 = $2049.00

So I would still be $50 ahead. The main reason I am geting the Inmotion tuning is so I can post a review of the chip so people can make an informed decision when buying a chip. Will the HP and TQ gains be as good as GIAC who knows if it is even close its worth the $150.
