Default Installed HR Sport Springs...

I just had a set of HR Sport Springs installed in my A4 this week. My car came stock with the non-sport suspension and 16" inch wheels. I upgraded to 18" RS4 reps a while ago and now just did the springs. A local shop installed the springs for only $250 and I'll be going back there in a week or two to get an alignment, which is going to be an additional $50. I was ecstatic that they only charged me that much because it took them the entire day to install the springs.

Anyway, I know the springs might settle a bit more in the next week or so but I was a little dissapointed in the drop. Since going from a non-sport suspension to HR springs I thought the drop would be pretty dramatic but it only turned out to be about an inch or 1.25 inches. They said they measured before the install and after and said it dropped it about that much. I have some before and after pics for you guys to look at. Does the drop amount sound right to you guys?

Also, I know about shocks and I'm going to get those down the road but if my car was only dropped an inch my current shocks may last a good while.

Pretty much the biggest reason I didn't go with shocks right now is that am very curious as to how long my stock shocks will last. I really want to know, by experience, the answer to that question. I do believe everyone that they will end up going out but I just want to know how long they will last on my car. And at $250 bucks for installation when I need new shocks I'll take the gamble to find out.

well then get grooved shocks when you are ready, they can help you drop it about .75" more....and yea...let em settle first too. I don't know why you are disappointed with the drop numbers....cause that's how they are advertised.

I have had this spring/shock setup for 1.5 yrs now, i am very used to it, it is a bit stiff but you can really feel the road.
