installing m3 lip spoiler
i have the claybar, but no polishing compound...do you guys think claybar would be enough?? i want to do this tonight, if possible. also, for those of you that had to bend yours to fit, did you actually reshape it with heat or did you just flex it and stick it on the trunk?

RE: installing m3 lip spoiler
would heating up ABS plastic make it bend and set?
I am looking to re-do my failed attempt of installing my spoiler. Right now it is sitting, stripped of all paint, and sanded to a smooth finish...and it's been like that for the last 1.5-2 weeks.

wow, this is all quite disheartening to hear...lip spoiler is definitely on my to-do list. Should I take this as a sign that it may be worth it to buy one (pre painted and shaped) from spoiler depot?

clay bar will be good enough, just make sure theres no wax left on there. you dont heat it and set it, it just cant be really cold because it wont bend in that case. so just duct tape it on, draw a guide line, and stick it on and bend it at the same time.
im sure youve seen this.

yea mine needed quite a bit of bending too. it was straight, no bend at all out odf the box, mine might just be made of a more flexy material. but good idea, try heating it and the trunk lid, the warmer that stuff is the better the tape will stick. good luck.
