Default insurance

hey, this q is huuge. is my insurance and warranty affected my engine mods. i heard that the scca did something to enable people to modify their cars and still be insured but im not sure. if anyone knows anything about this it would be extremely useful.

Mods will void the waranty related to the part you modified. Similarly, your auto insurance doesn't cover damage or liability for racing.

haha thanks. what i dont understand though is if i throw a turbo kit on, does that void the entire engine from warrenty, or just the specific parts that were replaced? also, does my insurance go up if i jack up the cars hp?

Insurance wont go up, but it you blow the engine with the larger turbo you are SOL.

no just swap back to the old turbo setup spend all the money you need to get the car back to stock and file an insurane claim

I talked to my dealership today and if I do anything that involves internal engine modifications (even a chip) it voids the entire warrenty.

This is true GRKA4, but there are ways to mod your car and change it back before the dealer sees it. It'll cost you, time and money, but it can be done.

My dealership working with me big time, there warrenting my new engine with my ko4 setup which is putting out a some real hp. They are a smaller place that is pretty performance oriented, they have ferraris sitting around, rs6s,s4s, r32s,volvo s60rs, alot of performance stuff.
