I wouldnt really trust it, I have never seen anything good from a ebay product.

 

Hmmm.... A $15 cone filter.... A $10 U bend... A 50 cent bracket... Some screws and a clamp.....Andof course their near $100proffit...Thats what I know about THAT product.

Its sort of hard for even ebayto screw up an intake setup as far as it "being good" construction wise... But you wont gain any power, you might get better throtle response, and youll sound loud.

 

In my opinion I would go with something that someone has used on my cars and applications like the Cabronio or K&N or Neuspeed or even BMC.

They all have been proven to improve the Audi by tone and power somehow.

I take that back. You might get 1 or 2 extra hpat about 7k rpms. But what you gain in the high end is not worth the amount of low end tq that is lost with an intake on these engines unless youre running a big turbo that has special needs. Im not even going to talk about how much of a proffit carbonio makes on their intakes. I know carbon fiber isnt cheap, and r&d takes time and money, but damn.... $350 for what? A pretty looking air box, a cool sound, and a slight decrease in low end power, where you need it most often. Im all for a K&N pannel filter, its probably the best thing you can do for an already efficient stock air intake system.
I know, I know, supply and demand.

 

So how much will one of these run? Iam not too sure on which one i would go with. Whats best for a 1.8t?

 

Well see i hear that adding the intake sounds louder. But a drop in filter will that help any? I know there isnt to much hp gain but i would like a little nicer sound if possible?

 

The stock airbox is best for a stock/chipped/k04'd 1.8t. But a lot of people (such as myself at one time) only wanted it for the deep growl, and hopes of power gains. Some people still only care about that even though they know the facts. Wikipedia defines that as"ignorance."
