you can still add nitrous, water/meth injection, and underdrive pulleys.

What about aftermarket suspension mods, such as sway bars and stuff, it seems that there are not many for the A4 in general.

Water injection on a NA car is NOT the thing you want to do.. Im sorry.. but advancing the timing and all that jazz just isnt safe in my book..
Just by adding water/meth to the car you will pick up any timing that has been pulled. The ecu is very smart in that it will start to pull timing to preserve the engine when it starts to see knock. Water/meth reduces knock and lowers iat all while cleaning the cylinders. So like i said before, you can keep increaseing timing a degree or two at a time until the ecu tells you that it is to much and starts pulling timing back out. Then you just lower it back a degree or two until its no longer pulling any. This will allow you to increase timing safely and gaining a nice bit of hp.

This is why you need to know your car and ecu before making blanket statements like quoted above.

Don't forget you have to mess with timing every time you want to use nitrous.

Then get a vag-com cable from ross-tech and increase the timing
Care to explain how to make adjustments to timing via vag com or any other way w/ a 3.0? I thought the only way to adjust timing was with lemiwinks or a custom chip tune only available for the 1.8t?

There are many aftermarket suspensions and sway-bars available for A4. You can even get upgraded suspension set at tirerack.com. I got mine at shox.com. For sway bars, I went with H-Sports. Do some search on this forum, check out some of the sponsors, and also check tirerack.com and shox.com, you will find many topics and several sources who sell them.

I would rather have forced induction than nitrous. You never know what nitrous is going to do and it causes a hell of a lot more damage than boost to stock internals.
everyone would RATHER have forced induction, but if you're looking for horsepower gains that aren't going to cost you a fortune, NOS is the way to go. putting forced induction of any kind on a 2.8 or 3.0 is no joke either. so even after you spend $4 G's on a supercharger, you gotta make the engine work with it. but if you have the time and the money, what the hell! go for it! or you could just sell your car and buy a 1.8t....or better yet, a late 90's S4 with twin turbos.
