Default intake mod?

Well, i finally gathered up enough $$ to get my GIAC Stage 1+ with injectors and forge DV....
but heres the question...
I've always herd that the stock airbox in my 1.8T works best for our cars....probably the moste efficient and all.....I want to keep the airbox, but i wouldn't mind to hear a little bit more intake noise (i.e. DV)
so....i've been reading on audizine and any other sources i can find and didnt come up with much.
Someone suggested "remove the baffles and bolt on a cone filter".
Will a cone filter fit inside the stock airbox? and will i hear a difference?
and where is the baffling located?
thanks!

you don't need bigger injectors with a GIAC chip...

are you just replacing them?

that intake mod is......interesting......
so....from what i understand, it uses a drop in filter still? how safe is cutting holes in your wheel liner? dont know if i'd trust that......but the tubes goin to the front grill doesnt sound like a bad idea.

k04 is a waste of money for your car. your turbo produces 5 less hp then the k04. you can do other mods to your car to equal a k04 easy.

^that's how it works out on paper. but in real life, it's a different story

but just ask all the B6 guys that went from stg 1+ to k04. most all seem to think it's very worth it.

but if you're after a fast car, then a k04 is not the right turbo for you. no matter what year your A4 is.. BT is the mod for you

modding a B6 is a little different than a B5 is. for his chip, he does need bigger injectors

if i were to go K04....all i'd need now is the actual turbo itself, and a new TIP, correct? (and obviously the new giac falsh)
