i noticed that you have the carbonio intake and your telling me not to expect much from an intake lol. All i can say to you then is im sorry...
Just because you go Carbonio doesnt necessarily mean that you are expecting much. Some people like really nice, clean looking stuff under the hood.
With the stock turbo you arent going to get a major increase in power from any filter setup.

2nd. I didn't have TOO much difference even with a k04.

Also here's mine, it's easy just make your own heat shield.

Sorry, my last car was a lifted ford ranger with 35" mudders on it, so I'm still getting used to being close to the ground. I'm planning on selling the car next summer and getting an S4, so I'm not going to do too much else to it.

The dahlback chip is actually for the k03, so it was was kindof surgy(sp?) with the k04 so I have a mbc also.
But it spikes at about 19 and holds at about 17.

I did the Airbox mod on my 98 1.8t Q and its barely audible because i was smart and didnt drill thourgh the fender liner
Wait a minute, I don't get it. What the heck is the point of doing this mod if you don't drill through the fender liner??????? The whole F***in point is to grab air from the fender area. You put holes in the box so you could grab more hot air from the engine bay???? That is an anti-mod because you now grab more hot air than stock. That doesn't sound very smart to me. ~shrugs~

Actually thats not really true. I thought the same thing but i put the holes low and further away from the trubo. I didnt just blow a huge hole in the back of my air box. The air mainly gets pulledin from under the box and theres also a little heat guard on the frame rail that keeps the turbo air from being sucked straight into the box down there. I did it this way because my buddy who did the mod already told me i shouldnt and i always take peoples first hand advice when it comes to this DIYstuff. plus its winter and i didnt want to ruin the ITG i was going to buy BUT now that im scrathing the whole thing its not really important.
