I had bought a HKS Mega flow Intake For my 1.8T and when i installed it it had the normal loud intake sound almost like a blow offr valve and one day instead of a woooosh sound it started to make a che che che che che i put on the stock intake and it did it too anyone know what it could be
i saw a thing about the compressor surge could it be that and if yes what is it and what does it do

check your dv it might be bad

 

its your dv for sure, ha its the funniest noise... your dv is leaking, if your chipped with stock dv that will cause it. Upgrade that biznatch and mobaudi

What is a compressor surge though

 

i dunno any thing about a compressure suege. the only thing i can think is a turbo kick where the DV doesnt let off the air fast enough and the back pressure stops the turbo damaging it and creating immence turbo lag when you hit the throttle
