Tonight I was cruising around trying to kill some time, so I decided to run down to the beach and go for a walk... That always helps.

So I was sitting in the left turning lane, and I see a car pull up behind me that has HID headlights and yellow HID foglights, and I couldn't figure out what it was. Well the light turned green, and I just started driving like normal, switched into the right lane and a Touareg pulls up next to me... All of the sudden I hear that specific roar that those engines made (My father had one when they first came out) and I drop to second and start pulling with him side by side. We get to 70 (In a 55) and I let off and brake hard to get back down to the speed limit... And he keeps going... Hard. I watch his taillights dim out into the distance... Right as the cop pulls of the median and starts chasing him.[:'(]

So at this point I was pretty relieved that I didn't stay on it with him. Anyway, I get down to the south end of the beach, and park. Directly after I park, a Wrightsville Beach Cop (They don't play around) pulls up behind me, looks at my car for a second, pulls away, turns around, and looks at it again. I got a bit nervous, but didn't think too much of it, and started walking into the dunes, when ANOTHER WB Cop pulls up and does the same thing. Ok, at this point I say screw it and just keep walking.

As I'm walking down the beach near the shore break I keep noticing large pieces of foamcore washing up on the beach, I stop and try to figure out where it looks like it came from. Shrug it off and keep walking. Up a few hundred feet I see a bunch of SUVs on the beach near the water, and I think to myself "They don't allow cars on the beach... Meh, they must be camping out or something." as I come closer I notice something on the shore that doesn't look right. As I come closer I begin to figure out, that it's a 20' boat that has been beached. I get a bit closer and I notice the gaping hole in the side, and a few guys franticly trying to get the thing out of the water with winches. I guess the guy navigating the boat hit the jetty, and beached the boat to save it. That sucks, but I guess at least he saved it. Right as I was thinking this I look down at what I'm stepping on... Ugh, I have dead seagul on me, gross.

So I keep walking down the beach, and I see a group of people up on the sand. I'm guessing high schoolers, because that's the only group of kids that I could picture doing something so stupid. They start yelling things like "Uh yeah, put it in me, is it in yet? Oh it's so hard, oh yeah baby that's it, oh yeah, play with my ****, oooooh, etc" they're obviously yelling things like this at complete strangers, so I decide to play along. I walk up to the group... The cease the yelling pretty quickly. And I ask "Is this is Gang Bang At The Beach get together?!" they all look at eachother and one of the guys nervously mutters "Nah dude, uhhhh, we were just kidding." Before he could finish I had already walked away.

Well then I've had enough beach walking, so I go up a beach access and start walking back to my car on the street. On the way back I see a cop car go flying by... Then an SUV cop car (K9 Unit)... Then another SUV cop car. Sh*t, at this point I'm expecting to be searched when I get back, WB is a Coke warzone, and these cops don't play around (Like previously stated) and they'll not hesitate to search a 90 year old lady if they suspect they're dealing. Then I see two cops go flying the opposite direction, so now I'm feeling a bit better.

I get back to my car, and the two SUV cops and one other cop are sitting behind my car... F*ck, I guess I was right. I walk up and unlock my car, one of them gets out and looks at me, gets back in, and they all three take off... Ooook... Ackwarrrrrd.

So I get in and start driving back towards the mainland. Right when I turn back onto the new road, I see about 12 cop cars/SUVs pulled up around and behind this Silver B6 VW Passat![:-] They were tearing this thing apart looking for something, the guy was being cuffed as I was driving by, so I guess he did something wrong. And I suppose since my car looks quite a bit like his, they were keeping an eye on me.

So I headed to my buddies house, and we worked on his Civic for a little bit getting it ready for the new engine. Then I left at about 4:00am.

I was sitting at the red light in the left turning lane... No traffic anywhere. Light turns green and I start to pull out, and I notice in the corner of my eye, and older riced out Honda Accord coming to his red light awfully quick, and showing no signs of slowing down. Right as I'm about to pull out, I decide not to, and brake, right as he changes lanes (The one I was sitting in!) and speeds up. I slam on my brakes and swerve to the left and barely avoid this guy hitting me by a matter of inches. Right as he's about to hit me, I see the "You ran a red light, and we're taking a picture of you doing it, haha" Camera flash three times. So this guy's pretty much F*cked once they relize he almost hit a somebody while running a redlight. Haha, dumb sack of Sh*t.

So I got home ok, and now I'm going to bed. Good night.

 

Glad to hear you are ok after that close call bro. Sounds like you at least had an interesting night though.
