Default Interior dash trim chipping

Hey everyone. I have a 2002 A4 1.8t quattro and the interior trim is starting to chip. The trim is black, and white is showing up through in several areas like the outer tips of the window switches, the buttons on the climate control, and several other areas. I don't think this should be happening, Audi is a quality car and I doubt their trim pieces should chip no matter how much they are used. Has anyone else experienced this problem? Any solutions to stop the spread of chipping? Thanks for any information.

Yeah I've noticed that on b6's, it looks like **** and I'd be pissed if that happened to my car. There's gotta be a way to remedy that.

I'm having that trouble too. I tried calling audi of america and they said it was 'normal wear'. I didn't get too into it then, but I tried a local dealership, and they said the same thing.

I think that's BS because my PONTIAC didn't have those problems until well into 9 years.

As of right now, my front window switches, front door handles, cigarette lighter, armrest, and a few other things are worn, when i don't feel that they should be. The car was 31.5K new, and only has 44k miles on it. I'd say that is NOT normal wear....

If anyone has any suggestions, let me know. I see this problem far too often. Maybe I should have bought a Lexus or something....

Maybe a few of us can sign a petition and send it to audi?
