Good News...NOT.

Audi says the only thing that can be done is having the radio replaced. That's ridiculous. There is no way to restore the coating.

Since my car is slightly out of warranty, they can do nothing for me. [:@]

yeah it's one of those things wehre you go to the dealer and they say you're sol.

Agreed. I thought you meant the rubber seal. When I took my radio out to hookup my dension icelink a bit of my rubber seal got caught and poked out.

I agree with Steve.... you are kinda SOL.

How about finding a replacement stereo? Anyone help with that. I see a few on eBay for anywhere from $70 - $150. Does anyone know where I can buy from a retailer online?

Or, last resort. What is the best replacement? Could I throw a nav system in without too much difficulty?

Well, if you peel it all off, it will look better.


On my **** for the sunroof, the gray paint was peeling. So, i peeled all the rest off. Now it is lighter colored, but looks great, nice and smooth, you would never know it didn't come that way.

I second that. Did the same with my sunroof ****. Leather on shift **** is a different story though
