Just buying an 04 3.0 with 46k miles on it...there are scratches on the driver side door panel where the window buttons and mirror controls are. Wondering if anyone has had any success repairing damage/scratches there and if so what did they use. Also, there is a minor burn mark on the headliner that I have no idea how to go about getting rid of. Thanks in advance.

 

its funny u ask....i have a black a4 with black leather interior and lights up red when my head lights are on...i had a bottle of cologne leaded on my center console where the shifter is and it peeled the rubber coating so i repainted it when i saw this thread... http://www.audiworld.com/tech/ and scroll to teh painting interior trim article...this isnt exactly wat i did but i used the guidelines,.,,,i removed the rubberized coating and picked up a can of rust-olem rubberized coating...similar to pasti-dip....the finish looked good i cant get u soem pictures if u'd like, and i was planned on doin where the window controls were too so i could match it

 

anyone know if this part...i think i saw it being called the "finger panel" is available to replace at a dealership. I know on B5 models they come off but this plate doesnt look like it would be easy to remove. Thanks.
