Default ipod wire running

Is there any way/write-up on how to run a wire from the headunit to inside my center console (obviously invisible superficially).

I want to be able to keep my ipod in there so I don't have to d/c it all the time when I get out of the car because I don't want people seeing that I have an ipod laying out.

Thanks,

Tim

center console meaning arm rest? i got my wire to the little square compartment here

my armrest is up in that pic, but there's got to be a way to get it up and into it...(might require a little drilling to fit the wire through...) other than that, mine is completely invisible until right behind the seatbelt clip because i needed a little slack on the wire and i didnt opt to drill through the pad in that square holding area and make the wire come straight up.

or yeah, center arm rest is what i meant.

Yeah, I would like the wire to come into the box and it would probably require drilling.

Is there a writeup to do this? or up to the drilling part that you made?

I only found an s4 armrest fix on audiworld which will help me slightly.

BestBuy quoted me $25 labor to run wires for an ipod to either the glove box or center console. The wires must be purchased from them. There are two ways:

1. Ice Link Connects to multi-CD changer $200

2. FM Modulator Connects to antenna $78 with DC power

I have the Dension Ice Link. It works really well, no complaints. Took about 10 min to install. Biggest pain in the *** was trying to get the radio out.

well, I already have the blitzsafe ipod adpater installed and everything. Right now it's running into my glovebox, but I rather have it in my arm rest so it's closer for me to control.

I'm just not sure how to go about doing this myself.. I rather not take it anywhere

Ok, i don't know if im helping or pointing out the obvious...but this is how I ran my wire, except i came up into that square compartment..instead of going a little further and drilling up into the arm rest.

I drive with my arm rest up...it kinda gets in my way when shifting and gets in the way of the e-brake...So I didnt opt to put my ipod in there..but this is how i would run your wire. Tuck it underneath the material that makes up your center area and meets the carpet

I wish I had the luxury of having an arm rest get in the way of my shift, but sadly I have a tiptronic so I like to rest my arm on there

so do i just use a really long hanger? I just wasn't quite sure if i remove some panel to run the wire.

you can just lift it up a bit and push it up and under with like a flathead screw driver
