Default It's Official. Farewell and Thank You All.

Here is a picture of my busted-up Avant. It's a sad day for me because I'm officially leaving AF. It's been a tremendous source of information (and occassional boredom killer) for me.

The insurance company hasn't declared it totaled yet, but I took the chance and purchase a 4Runner this morning. They haven't done estimates on the mechanical damage, but the body work alone will be 11,000 dollars. I think I'm safe. The 4Runner has 98k on it, so I'm afraid I'll be jumping on the Toyota forums for some new knowledge. You may see me return briefly to sell off a couple of Audi related things.

Thanks you all again for the support and comaraderie. I wish you all the best. Take care.

Driving 55-60 mph and someone pulled out in front of me. Was on the brakes for about 1.5 seconds before impact.

clconversion, I purchased a 99 limited with locking rear differential (better suited for the jeep trails than my Avant). I will miss the nice ride of the Avant to be sure.

Haha. I suppose I should have edited my sig one more time to include "totaled". At least I mashed the secondary air pump. Maybe it would have cured my "secondary air injection incorrect flow" that's plagued this car for the past two years. 8)

That sucks. Sorry to hear about your loss. Hope you enjoy your new car. You can always stay on AF for good times?
