I've got a strange one for you guys!!
Okay Im gonna try and keep this as short as possible.
I followed the DIY for connecting an aftermarket sound system to the stock amp for the Bose system and everything seems fine except when I close the left rear drivers side door I can hear a rumble in my sub and sometimes this causes feedback where my sub starts rumbling/reverberating like there is an earthquake and I have to shut my car down and take the key out for it to stop. This is not the real issue just needed to provide the setup for this....
I received my HID kit that I purchased from eBay, (http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...760&rd=1,1) I know that was my first mistake but I didn't hear back from the groupbuy so I thought it was over and wasn't for sure if I wanted to go HID so I bought the above kit. I've been through the whole cheap bulbs scheme thats ran on eBay constantly so I called myself being selective when purchasing the kit that I did.
I received the kit last night and did the install. Everything was plug and play, just had tocut the housing a bit,and it looks amazing with sharp cut off lines, no glare that you get with the really cheap kits and great line of site. So I was happy until I turned on my radio.
I started the car and turned the radio on and the sub begins to hit as usual and then I reach over and turn on my headlights and then all of a sudden no sound from the sub!?!?!?! I cut the lights off but same results and then turnedthe radio off and I can hear a hum coming from my sub that seems to coincide with the headlight/ballasts noise that I hear. When I close the car doors it does the same thing as the one rear driver side door did.
I think it may be a grounding issue/power issue/cheap HID kitbut just wondering if anyone had any ideas. I will be testing the grounding issue this evening and report back but any help/input is greatly appreciated.

I didn't mess with the ground for the HIDs just connected the Red/Black wires into the H7 harness - connected the bulb to the ballastand plugged the stock harness into the headlight housing and thats it. Guess the HID ballast uses the factory groud point.
I know I deffinately need to change the ground for amp as its not on bare metal so Im thinking once I change that I'm golden.

yeah man im suprised you even got the amp to turn on if the ground wire isnt properly grounded. Find some bare metal,or shave/ file paint off of a spot on the chassis. Also make sure your power wire is ran down the opposite door sill as your RCA cables, this can also cause a great deal of interference. From what it sounds like ( closing the drivers side rear door and then you get interfering sounds) you ran your rca's back with your power, always run the rca's opposite the power wire, in your case thats the passenger side. good luck
PS: how does the trunk hold up when you get your subs hitting hard, any excessive rattling!?!?!?

I don't have a ground loop isolator connected to the RCA's so I will pick one up on the way home as it wont hurt to try that as well. I'll let ya know when I get home!
You know I never thought about that [sm=bangbang.gif]cause now that I think about it the ground spot is really close to the fuel pump.
I really appreciate all the help guys keep it coming!!! I'll let you know what I find out.
