Hello everyone, new to the Audi World. Today I just picked up a 2005 Audi A4, 1.8L T, Automatic, 100k miles for one hell of a steal.

Anyways, I started looking into an Aux input converter for the car. I found one at http://www.logjamelectronics.com/pievwraux.html and I'm not sure if it will work. I don't know too much about Audis... always been a Chevrolet guy.

I think I have a ''Concert'' series headunit [atleast thats what it says on the front of it]. How do I go about finding out what I have? I don't have a tape input or anything like that, just a cd. I don't think it has a 6 disc changer in the dash, allow though the place I bought it from said it did.

According to LogjamElectronics, it has a rear cd changer cable in the truck on the drivers side... where is this located? I would rather not tear out the headunit to plug in the converter if I don't have to.

Update:

Today I took the rear of the trunk apart... atleast all of the carpet. So far there is nothing on the drivers side for a CD Changer plug... later today I'll post pictures hopefully if it doesn't rain!

 

Depending on the options on your A4 you might not have a CD changer in the trunk or glove box. If you have CD slot in your radio your Audi probably did not come prepped for an external CD changer. As for Aux input are you looking for something special as Audi does offer an IPod Adapter that would interface through your system. Check out this link

The Aux Input you note from logjam is awesome, but in case you are looking for IPod perhaps this could be an option.

I'm not really looking for anything like an iPod connector, I just want a headphone jack. I use laptops, iPhones, Xm Satelite Radio, etc. Theres about 3 or 4 different devices I use and I can't use just one iPod connector...
