just bought a chipped apr ecu off ebay for 475!!!

actually its 400 for the b5's, but that's just the chip, not the ECU you gotta solder it onto, so both for 475 is a good deal
its $400 for 97-99.5

$499 for 2000+
yeah, guess i shoulda been more specific, but thats why i mentioned soldering in. flashing is 500, soldered chips are 400. same for both giac and apr

sorry chaos.... but how easy is it to regap the spark plugs?

isnt the APR programming itself only $499 or is that b6s only? mine was $499 for their 1+ program
yeah, but then theres labor on top of that, so hes saving a little bit.
haha, this whole time i thought he had a B6, whoops im a little slow, so he could have probably saved a little bit of money going to a APR dealer.

not really a4speed... because im not just getting the "chip" im gettin a whole new ecu with an APR chip.... and if i really like it I will sell my ECU on EBAY and make some money back.




PS: is there any instructions or DIY on how to GAP the spark plugs?

sorry chaos.... but how easy is it to regap the spark plugs?
really easy. its a disc and around the edge it goes from really thin to thicker and its got measurements. you just clamp the little thingy on top down and then start turning the disc though the spark plug starting with the thin end until you get to .028

sweet... I should have the ECU by Thursday... Do you think i should wait till i get the DV installed or do you think it will be fine with the stock DV for a day or two

it'll most likely be fine. some stock dv's last a few hours, others a few months
