Hello all I just recently purchased a 1997 Audi A4 1.8T Q (automatic[:'(]) for my girlfriend. I sell, drive, and reapir a lot of audi vw's (still learning long road) and was wondering what kind of mods are out there? I will like to mod her car but need some help with recomendations. What chip is safe with the automatic non tip, div, exhaust, intakes, springs, and so on. Any advice would help.

 

GIAC or APR chip. Cheapest dv upgrade is the 710N for $35. Borla makes a nice exhaust. Intake will do nothing for our cars except make more noise. The stock airbox is the best. Popular springs are neuspeed, eibach, and h & r.

 

710n? I have heard that you can upgrade the dv on 97 with a 00 factory dv is this true? Also is there any problems with either chip and automatic trans (nontip)?

 

no you shouldnt have any trouble with the tranny.. yes you can upgrade the DV to a 00 factory DV go w/ the 710n

GIAC and APR will put you at about 15 psi
