I just got back my ECU GIAC chipped but I didnt feel much difference ...to be very honest i think it was nothing!!
I have a Stock 1.8T 5 Speed Front Wheel drive

Im kinda worried after spending $400.00...

This is what im doing next

1) Change the DV ASAP!
2) K&N air filer
3) Putting in some Bilstein Shocks

what to expect before and after ? what am I doing wrong?

 

they say it will take a lil bit of time for the ecu to get familiar wit the new settings, so maybe later u will feel the power

but really its nothing special, i get more mid and high end power

 

Thats kind of wierd, I have revo and I noticed a huge difference the second I pulled out of the shop. What chip do you have panda? To me it seems that the low end pulls like crazy and the high end is way better but not as big a difference.

 

oh ya u might have a boost leak to, u never know

i got APR casue its smoother they say and i got a deal when me and my buddy went, it was watever, its faster and more powerful but nothing special to me

 

i think u have a boost leak, cause the difference a chip makes is night and day

 

Maybe if I drive it more...its raining and I just drove for 1-2miles... the chip I got was
1997 - 1999.5 Sedan FWD Manual PGL30A.V03 $400.00 from AWE Tuning...

regardless of ECU adjusting there should be something I shud feel... I also have a 01 A6 2.7T Sline ( which ofcourse is a monster) but this is disappointment!!

BOOST LEAK...hmmm i'll have to check when its Sunny...but that could be one thing

 

Your stock DV may have been blown long before you ever chipped it too.

 

I bought the car used with 90k Miles ...been driving to work etc now I have just over 100k so yea the DV could be busted

 

I am a new audi owner with a A4 1.8t Q,I would like to know where you can buy a chip and is it something that i can install?

 

i have a 1.8t (104k)with a speed tuning chip, huge difference, i think your car may have somthing else wrong with it
