Whew! well it didnt go exactly as planned but pretty damn well considering...

and btw y'all brewmaster on here is the man ..he came through and worked with me on it for a solid 8 hours today to get it done..thanks brotha

well I have to admit some ****...

ok first...I planned on greedspeed snub...wouldnt go on very well ...so genius me put it in microwave get some beer.. half way through a guiness I realize it should have only been in there about 15 sec.. 1 min 30 sec later... NO SNUB MOUNT!! F@#$!! so if I wanna do that mod its gonna have to be later on

thermastat...couldnt get it in and /or find out where it goes...?? anyone?? I have a ATW 00 b5 1.8T help!

did it with out the thermastat brew thought we could do it later if we jack up the car

put it all back together to realize I lost all my power steering fluid?!?? anyone?? not sure how this happend?? we drained all the coolant and the wiper fluid and there were no leaks anywhere...HOW COULD THAT HAPPEN??

anyway all in all SUCCESS!! and I went with the lightweight crank pully from ECS in the timing belt kit -)

pics to follow!!

YO SOLEY!!, i think i figured out the t-stat, i examined that picture in the how-to for like last ten minutes, and realized its a picture from UNDERNEATH the car, so i think jack it up and we can drain the coolant into my coolant container i brought today and reuse it. it looks decently easy to do really, too bad we didnt have a jack to check it out today.

The snub thing is hilarious bro. I wanted to ask you... How is the ECS lightweight crank pulley? What difference did it make for u? How does it feel? Becuase I was thinking about it. Thanks bro.

ya I felt pretty f'n stupid after doin that to the snub...

Brr you pm'd me about the greedspeed too

I will post pics soon

I love the lightweight crank...it def feels like a added bonus ...

and no everyone on here is like 50/50 on the crank..but who really knows what they are talking about??

I met with a veteran vw and audi mechanic and he installs them all the times on 1.8Ts ...totally fine..

I think with my apr chip and exhaust it helps ALOT more than if you were just stock you know
