just got my blue 98 1.8t audi with 98k miles today. How many keys does the car come with becuase i only have one set of keys one for the door and one for the engine ignition. Also what are my choices for remote door openers i have the alarm code. Should i use factory remotes for the stock alarm or go aftermarket with a clifford pager alarm.

 

mine came with 2 keys. new ones come with 2 flip keys, a vale key thing and some plastic one

 

2 keys meaning one for opening the door lock and one for ignition? cause thats how mine is the ignition key doesnt work for the door thats weird i never had a car like that.

 

 

the lady that sold me the car said she changed the ignition so i guess i have one key for the door only and one key for the engine but my question is isnt there supposed to be two of each key?

should i be worried that someone might have one of my keys? and how much would it cost to get a extra key at the dealer? heres some quick pics no time to take better ones.

Wow that engine looks mint.

Its kinda common to be missing a key or so when you sell a car. I wouldnt worry about it too much.

 

In a related subject, is it possible to make spare keys other than at the stealership?
