Default Just Got Done Replacing Turbo =)

Alls I have to say is WOW. That was some crazy ish. I had a lot of trouble on certain parts because my hands are too big to fit in certain places. But all in all , I got the job done and I am very happy that I did it. The only mechanical thing I have ever done to a car was spark plugs and oil change. So that was a big step for me. I am verrrry proud of myself LOL =) .
The whole time I owned the car the turbo was blown so now it opened up a whole new world for me. I can finally hear my evoms DV whoosh air when I shift and I can now hear the turbo. Car now pulls instead of slowing down after 3000 rpms.
I thank everyone on this website for giving me confidence to do it and the directions I was given. audizine has a great how to on it.
ko3 = 125
install kit = 40
tools ( coolant,oil, clamps ) = 40

I gained alot of experience and learned ALOT of stuff about cars after doing it.

IM ONE HAPPY ****!!!!!!!!!!

PS: Doing Air box mod in a few days... CANT WAITTT!!!!!!

a leap , tell me bout it lol .

started at 1130am and ended at like 145am lol. But i took like an hour break at like 2:30 and then had to go to the store to get something. then took another break when I got back for like 45 mins. the kept going. then picked up girlfriend from work at 10:00 with my moms car. then came back and started again at 11:00. stopped at approx 145. I got stuck on replacing the fittings on the turbo for like an hour and also got stuck on tightening the cat bolt. also got stuck on certain steps for like an hour. Got stuck alot but it was a whole day affair and i sweated in hot weather in my driveway. Cut up my fingers bad too. it was a total of probably 8-9 hours of labor not including breaks.

=)

Damn buddy, good for you!

I've fixed/replaced 95% of the **** on my honda myself but was quite intimidated to touch anything on the audi. Did my spark plugs, DV and coilpack last week so kinda got my over the hump! Not anywhere near enough confidence to do something like that, once again big-ups!

congrats and mad props. I had a HELL of a time trying to remove my downpipe to install my TBE. I struggled for 3-4 hours and could not get the nut off the first bolt I was working on. I can imagine how hard is must've been for the entire turbo
