I know no one really cares but I finally got my car flashed with GIAC and I also put in an ITG air filter and I also got the EVO DV, Holy shiz this sucker is like a brand new freaking car! The sweet thing about it was I didn't tell my friend who drives a turbo'd 95 acura integra, and I saw him in town so I pulled over and we bs'ed for a little bit. Then when we leave, he takes off from the parking lot and I took off right behind him, caught up, and smoked him. He tried to keep up but it didn't work very well, haha. He was like what the hell did you do to your car! Great Story, HUGE DIFFERENCE!

 

Congrats on your GIAC. How much is it supposed to boost HP / Torque for your model?
Also, is ITG considered a better airflow solution for Audi's than K&N?

Congrats! I know exactly how you feel.

However, soon you will want more. You'll see you can get a new K04 for $775 and you'll think, "I can do that." But beware...it'll be much more than that by the time you're done. In order to get the K04 working correctly (and not even optimized), you'll need to upgrade the software, add a high flow exhaust (or at least a bigger downpipe), bigger injectors, TT225 MAF, and a FMIC.

Chung-*****...at least $1650 more, and that's if you do all the work yourself.

However, the K04 will run with the K03 software, but with no noticeable gains.

Lastly, stick with the stock N75--the GIAC (K04) software doesn't work well with the J or H valves.

 

Don't get K&N, never! ITG is way good, but the chip boosts 30-38 hp, and it boosts the torque by 55-60. So with the new air filter and the EVO DV that I got as well I gained 35-42 hp.

 

He's worn out his car pretty bad and it hasn't been in its top shape for a long time, thats probably why I was able to beat him, haha. Good times, Good times...

 

I love how everyone jacks on the K&N - and probably has never even used one. I've had one in 2 cars for 3 years now and it is fine.
Only time a K&N hurts your car is if you are an idiot.
