Hi, everyone...new to the forum. I just picked up an A4 this weekend. Great leases out there. This is my 2nd to 3rd Audi, depending on how you look at it. My 'first' was when I was a kid - my mother had a 1979 Audi 5000s. Lots of maintenance issues with that one. My second was my own - a 1998 A6. Now I'm sizing down for an A4.

The car is Dolphin Gray - my 3 year old daughter calls it 'flippy', for flipper the dolphin. Pretty basic - auto, 2.0T, leather / sunroof. We're using it as an extra car; I've got a Vette and my wife has an Envoy XL. I'll take it when it's too nasty to take out the Vette (convertible - only driven with the top down) and my wife will take it when she's not driving carpool.

Two questions - can I easily add the factory Nav unit, and can I add homelink?

do it the easy way, since you have money to burn it sounds like go to dealer ask for it to be put in , easy peasy.

 

Welcome, too bad you didn't hold onto that classic 5000s.

 

Money to burn? No, I do okay, but I wouldn't say I have money to burn. If I did, I'd have gotten my wife the A8 she really wants, or even better an RS6. Not to mention I would have spent the $3500 for the package that contains homelink - they had one at the dealer, but I just couldn't justify that. Besides, I like the DIY projects.

 

Really? Are people collecting those old 5000s's? Didn't realize!
