I have a b5 1.8 will this just drop right in no problems, or will I need more parts or modifications to the stock location.

 

i think you need a battery holder, the stock side mounts have nothing to clamp onto

 

i got the yellow top from autozone, i didnt even ask anyone about needing additional parts.....

 

I do remember it being different than stock but it stays in no problem.......

 

yea they are a little bigger then the stock battery but even if you dont clamp it down there is really no place for the thing to go should be fine.. I put in my red top in my old a4 and it had no probem with no clamp

whey are are talking about the optimum batterys (deep cycle) really good if your running a large car audio set up. you just have to buy the one with the posts on the top, I dont know if we need a revers top post or a standard if you tell me that i can give you a part number.. they are sick, my red top has not been installed in a car for 8 months and it still has a charge...
