Oregon has the same crazy gas-pumping practices as New Jersey...only fewer jackasses. (I've met many of them; just my experience, no offense Non-jackassian-New-Jersians)

 

Check this out, it has tint levels by state. Not sure how up-to-date it is, but stuff like that usually doesn't change every six month like oh, I don't know, gun laws?

I have had a doctors note for 5 years now with 2%. I have probably been pulled over more then 20 times for my tint. I got a ticket once because the cop was a *****. Went to court and it was thrown out. Most cops are pretty cool about it.

 

NJ regulations are:

no tint on windshield
no tint on fronts
anything you want on back/back shield ie: (black garbage bags) ; )

so the doctor's note works huh? I will have to look into that. get my car inspected. get the tints all around maybe like 35% nothing tacky. then get the testpipe and full exhaust. Can you get a doctors note for a testpipe too?

 

 

i have 5% sides/visor and 15% backon mine, as opposed to mosti like the limo look . . .

funny thing is i have never had a single officer say anything about it. here in WA our legal limit is 35% and i have been pulled over probably half a dozen times for speeding etc. and have never had them say anything about tint. they do however love to hassle me about my smoked plate covers but i am yet to receive a ticket for it.

Edit: Oh and i don't even have a front plate and have never had an officer say a single thing about that either. Strange huh?

 

watch out! i live in washington as well... in one week i got a front license plate ticket on my civic, audi, and my mom got in her benz. all on differnt days and differnt cops. ended up being $101 a pop. but its def worth not having it thanks for all the replies!
