as far as damage. it hurts your cat yes. BUT that is secondary! your cat gets hurt because for a short perios of time, your engine runs ritch. running ritch will cause unburned fuel to burn in your cat. unburned fuel also travles theough your turbo as its glowing like a lightbulb. running engines, whether ritch or lean is enver a good thing. however, this is such a short period of time that it wont have too big of avderse effects. if that is true though that 2000+ cars adapt...i would like to know then lol.

you can run a BOV as long as it is one that is closed at idle. and 2000+ cars can addapt because they have a map sensor and you can use lemmi. the map checks on the maf and will over ride it and with lemmi you can make it so that you don't run rich when you let off the gass by lowering the fuel durring decreasing load.
