maybe he has a faulty mbc, isnt it a cheep knock off?

 

He is either bleeding off boost in the vaccum line, requesting the higher boost, or the wastegate is sticking and taking more to open it. You cant lower boost passed requested.

 

ok, I have checked all the vac lines and they are fine. The MBC I am pretty sure is fine because I was having this problem before i put the MBC in. So that leaves me with the wastegate. So you I should start looking for another one? GRRRRRRR....

dont start moding your car tell you get it running right. check the wg, pm pattyatforge or what ever his name is and see if he can cut you a deal. its sounding more and more like the wg is your problem

 

I dont recommend this normally but you can try to loosen the nut on the wastegate arm to see if that will lower boost since it will lower the force needed to open it. If you do this, mark the orginal location before messing with it

 

Jeff, Thanks... I am not planning on modding my car at all until it's running right (I still have a coolant leak right now as well).

Just make access to your wastegate. If you have an airbox, you might have to take some if it off and then just take a wrech and lossen it. I would make small adjustments, maybe 1/2-1 full turn at a time
