Default just installed my own custom intake

well basiclly all I did was replaced the stock filter box with a cone filter but I tried fitting 3" pipes in but I couldn't make the bends work so I will be going to a muffler shop this week to make me some custom piping but for now I just put the cone filter in and I notice a big difference in aceleration and top end, the intake now has a small roar sound in it now and not only that I now hear the turbo spooling and also I now hear the dv valve making that sputterring noise and sometimes it makes that whisp sound I geuss it depends on the speed I'm going when I'm shifting, if you guys don't already have a intake I really recommend it it's really worth it, I only spent like 20 bucks for that filter at autozone.

thats the same setup I want to do but I'm just scared of water getting into the intake when it rains

u can always get a bipass valve for cold air intakes but i think see how those things would really work though

Yeah, I have a bypass valve. it does work. It is just a flaper valve, when water or anything for that matter blocks the airfilter, the vacume in the intake pulles the flaper valve open and lets air in, saved me on more than one ocasion.

I would but I don't have a digital camera or any thing. also note that I had to weld the different pieces together, about 7 welds. I would rank this amongst the harder things to tackle. plus your gonna need a welder.
