Hello all! Wanted to post the good news about buying a 1999 Audi A4 1.8T Quattro for my fiance! It's black and is in amazing shape. We live in the northeast corner of Indiana, and picked it up and drove it back from Fort Lauderdale, Florida! The car is amazing and I couldn't be happier. (unless of course it was my car) The pictures below are of when we picked it up in Florida. Obviously the girl is my fiance.

Right now, all I've found wrong with it are the cruise control doesn't work, and the plastic on the dipstick is broken. (not the handle, but the top of the tube) I was wondering if it was very difficult to replace by yourself, and if not, how much it would cost to get it done. Also, does anyone know where I can get one for cheaper than the dealership? I plan on cleaning the cruise control using directions I found while searching around on here. Hopefully that does it!

the cruise probably works, its kinda tricky

and those dip stick tubes are a common issue

On the cruise control, it worked once on the way back, but I think the connections are bad. So, I'm gonna clean them and see if it'll work better.

For the dipstick, if it tends to happen a lot, any idea how much it will cost and/or if I could just do it myself?
